Cultural and Artistic Transfers in Theatre and Music: Past, Present and Perspectives
A volume documenting the research to be performed within the framework of the project
The present volume dedicated to the thematic of Cultural Transfer in Music Theatre has been published in September, 2021 by the Art Research Centre of the Slovak Academy of Sciences – Institute of Theatre and Film Research. Edited by Michaela Mojžišová, the book represents a collection of research studies of both musicologists and theatrologists engaged in Central European Theatre and Music throughout the 19th and early 20th Century.
Among the authors we shall find the 2020-2021 Visegrad Grant Project group members: Jana Laslavíková, Lenka Křupková, Jiří Kopecký, Tomasz Pudłocki, as well as the invited speakers Tatjana Marković and Cristina Scuderi. They had also participated at the International Conference Towards a Common Regional History of Our Nation Building Strategies. Traveling Directors, Musicians held as the final stage of the V4 project, in Budapest, 26-28th May 2022.
The book has been presented to an international public by Jana Laslavíková – research fellow of the Slovak Academy of Science Institute for History – within many of the V4 project events organised at Palacký University in Olomouc (3rd of May, 2022), at Slovakian National Theatre in Bratislava (4th May 2022); at Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien (25th May, 2022), as well as in occasion of the International Conference at the RHC Institute for Musicology in Budapest.
